Throughout His life, Jesus fed, healed, and spoke truth into relationships built on compassion. This Christmas season, would you consider giving as Jesus did?
The school is a perfect place to start! Communities care deeply about their children. What if the Church in Greater Houston---made up of believers from across the city---committed to loving kids as Jesus did? College students could start community gardens to provide kids with fresh fruits and vegetables. Doctors could host medical clinics to address health needs. Volunteers could mentor or read with students, or affirm and resource teachers to teach more effectively. Imagine how many lives could be transformed if the Church committed to loving kids through local schools.
The neat thing is, it's already begun! School administrators have made the ask, and Christ-followers across the city have stepped up to serve... but there are still many more kids in many more schools. Opportunities abound for the Church to love!
