Leadership Development Increases Social Capital to Build Great Communities

There's a characteristic common to all great communities. It's called social capital -- the human-network glue that holds communities together. Leadership development programs like LPBC increase social capital, which enable citizens to create solutions and make changes for the common good.

Our CEO Courtney Curatolo explores this further in her new monthly blog. Read her post here

Leadership Engage: Our Community Needs to Focus on Mental Health Services
Do we have a mental health crisis in Palm Beach County?

During the recent Health and Human Services Day, our 2016 Leadership Engage class learned about the challenges facing the nonprofits that serve individuals in need of mental health services. While there are many agencies helping this population, there's a dearth of funding to support their work.

Class member Matthew Sackel describes what can be done to address this issue here.  See more photos here.
Leadership Grow: We Can All Help Fight Homelessness
Our 2016 Leadership Grow class discussed many issues during their recent Health and Human Services Day, but one topic stood out: what to do about our local homeless population?

Turns out, there's a lot we all can do.

Grow class member Juliana Dunlap explains in her own words what the LPBC community can do in terms of volunteering, donating and supporting the efforts to fight homelessness in Palm Beach County.
