Leadership Opportunities at New Manatee Education Center
Just south of the FPL plant in Riviera Beach is a new center that will inspire visitors to preserve and protect Florida's environment and wildlife -- specifically manatees. The Manatee Education Center will teach visitors about this endangered species and the diverse marine life.

Leadership Class Learned Importance of Adequate Funding for Public Safety Agencies
The jail system overseen by Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) is the largest mental health institution in our county. Did you know: 1 out of 4 individuals will experience a mental health issue in their lifetime?
These and many other facts were presented to the Leadership Class of 2015 during the recent Public Safety Day. One of the day's takeaways: PBSO, County Fire & Rescue, court system, and mental health programs need adequate funding.

Youth Public Safety Day: Touring Sheriff's Office, Fire Rescue and Video Studio
They saw how potential bombs are detected and defused. They learned what it's like to be a firefighter. And they created their own cyberbullying public service announcement.
Youth Leadership students got an inside look at Palm Beach County's public safety system during their recent Public Safety Day.

Songwriters in the Round Draws 600+ In
Support of Youth Leadership
The sold-out, two-night stand on Feb. 26 and 27 raised
thousands of dollars for LPBC's Youth Leadership Program. More than 600 attendees came out to the "Songwriters in the Round" events featuring five country music songwriters who told stories and sang songs in the "round" on a stage at The Harriet Himmel Theater in West Palm Beach.
