THE PROM IS IN TWO WEEKS It takes a community to make this event a success! On June 2 BHS seniors and their guests will enjoy a magical night, and parents and BHS are working together to once again create an amazing - and SAFE - after party! We need everyone to contribute to this effort! Please donate to our effort here. We also always need more volunteers - please sign up here. Any questions? Email Suzanne Elovecky.
THE CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL WAS A GREAT SUCCESS! Thank you to the BHS PTO for their support of this event that shares Japanese culture with our community. There were 7 artistic groups from throughout New England and an estimated 500+ attendees from Rhode Island to Montreal, Canada. Click here for a 7 minute video describing the day with images from the event.
MAY IS NATIONAL MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH According to the most recent student health survey, nearly one in four BHS teens reported being depressed (feeling sad and hopeless for more than 2 weeks), yet only a quarter of those adolescents get professional help, often because of the stigma still clouding issues of mental health. Check out B-PEN's Teens and Mental Health page for information, tips and valuable resources.
BHS FALL '14 SPORTS REGISTRATION is now open at Brookline athletics. BHS Fall Sports begin the week of August 18, 2014. More information and registration instructions are posted on brooklinewarriors.net.
REMEMBER TO SHOP WITH THE BHS AMAZON LINK Please consider using the link to the right or on the BHS PTO website for all your Amazon shopping needs. You'll pay the same Amazon prices as always, but a portion of your cost returns to the BHS PTO.
