FoPA MONTHLY MEETING (BHS Friends of Performing Arts) Monday, March 3, 7:00 PM in the Faculty Lounge (next to MLK room). SPRING PLAY "She Kills Monsters" is the story of a young woman exploring her relationship with her dead sister, through the world of Dungeons and Dragons. In the Black Box Theater on March 5th @ 3:30 pm, March 6th & 7th @ 7:30pm, and March 8th @ 3:30pm & 7:30 pm.

CHAMBER MUSIC Please join us on Monday, March 10 at 7:30pm in Dance Studio 1 for the Chamber Music Concert. Members of the BHS Orchestra will perform duets of J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Johan Havorsen, a Franz Shubert string quartet, Edward Elgar's Serenade for Strings and more.
SOPHOMORE PARENT MEETING Topic: Course Selections for Junior Year. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 7:00 PM in the MLK Room. Led by Associate Dean Melanee Alexander, a panel of representatives from academic and guidance departments will shed light on course planning and registration for junior year. Students will be in the midst of this process when we meet, so this is especially timely.

10TH GRADE ENGLISH MCAS will take place on Tuesday, March 18th, Wednesday, March 19th and Friday, March 21st.
COLLEGE FAIR Save the date! Tuesday, March 18 at 6PM.
STEPS TO SUCCESS in partnership with the Public Schools of Brookline, the Brookline Housing Authority and the Brookline Community Foundation, supports students residing in low income housing starting in the 4th grade through post graduate education. Steps to Success will host a fundraiser on Wednesday, March 26th. For more information please visit: STS website.

BOOK TALK - LEAVING RUSSIA Join us Thursday, March 6th from 6:30 -8 PM in the Driscoll Library for an evening with Brookline parent, Maxim D. Shrayer, author of Leaving Russia: A Jewish Story (2013). Born in Moscow in 1967 in a writer's family, Shrayer is a professor at Boston College and a bilingual writer and translator. Sponsored by the Driscoll PTO, this event is free and open to the public. Students are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
BROOKLINE READS PROGRAM On Wednesday, March 12 Brookline Reads presents "An Evening With William Landy", in the Brookline High School Auditorium at 7:00 pm.
BEF SEEKING BOARD MEMBERS The Brookline Education Foundation provides our public schools, teachers and administrators with the tools needed to promote our children's success through grants that support valuable curriculum enrichment projects and professional development opportunities. The BEF is seeking board members for the September 2014 term, particularly those individuals who may have some finance, social media or fundraising experience.
