PERFORMING ARTS SOCIAL EVENT You are cordially invited to a BHS Performing Arts Staff and Parent Social! Wednesday, January 15 from 7-9pm. FRESHMAN PARENT MEETING Thursday, January 16th at 7PM. Dean Scott Butchart will discuss mid-year exams and how freshman parents can help their students. We will meet in the MLK room. Questions? Contact 2017.bhs.pto@gmail.com.

REVISIONS Thursday, January 16th and Friday, January 17th @ 7:30pm in Dance Studio One, Tappan Gym. The dance department of Brookline High School presents ReVisions 2014, a student variety show. This year ReVisions will showcase some of the great talents from student run dance and music groups. Acappella groups, Small acoustic combos, dance teams and singers will perform this year in a concert that has wowed audiences for the past 12 years. Tickets $5 at door.

CELEBRITY SERIES - TAKE YOUR SEAT  The Celebrity Series developed "Take Your Seat" to make performance tickets available to school and community groups at the significantly reduced price of $10 per ticket. Tickets are limited, and may sell out, you must order by February 1. More information here or contact Margaret Sablove 
Brookline High School - Upcoming/Ongoing
GAP YEAR AND COMMUNITY SERVICE On Wednesday, January 22nd from 7:00 - 8:30 pm a panel of current, and past year participants, as well as facilitators of gap year/community service programs will explain the available options. Sponsored by the BHS PTO, this meeting is open to students and parents. In the MLK room.
 
GAP YEAR FAIR Open to students and their parents, this event will take place on Thursday, January 23rd from 3 - 5pm in the BHS cafeteria. Representatives from gap year programs will be available to provide information and answer questions.

ENHANCING EXECUTIVE SKILLS at Home in Support of School Work. Part 1 of a 4 part series begins Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Dr. Von Hahn, Behavioral Pediatrician at Tufts Medical Center will speak with parents. Audience participation is welcome. This free four part series will meet Jan 15, Feb 12, Mar 19, Apr 16. All meetings are 8:30 - 9:45 am at Town Hall on the fifth floor, school committee conference room. "WONDERS OF THE NIGHT SKY" on January 28th at the Brookline Public Library, Main Branch, 361 Washington Street, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in Hunneman Hall, 2nd. floor. This slide talk showcases exquisite photos and film clips from the Hubble and other large telescopes shown on the library's large screen with an inspiring storytelling narrative. The talk is presented by Bob Kroin and sponsored by the Trustees of the Brookline Public Library. Free and open to the public. Recommended for adults and students in grades 7-12.  
All notices are subject to the approval of the BHS PTO. The deadline for submission is Friday of each week. Submissions may be edited due to space constraints.
