Toronto Section to visit AutoVault- Saturday, January 24, 2015

MBCA Section member Gary Shapiro has invited us to his AutoVault Canada facility, a prestige auto storage solution in Toronto. Recently, his business was prominently covered in the Toronto Star.

Gary has invited his fellow MBCA members to an Open House event at his facility and also to show us his Mercedes-Benz 280SL The fruit of a two year, no expense spared, restoration.

In a secret facility at the north end of the city lies row upon row of shiny Corvettes, Ferraris, Porsches, Aston Martins and Mercedes-Benz. Near the back sits a pristine black Lamborghini with sparkling $20,000 rims. "A car is a passion, a piece of art on wheels," says Gary Shapiro, the self-professed "king of cars" and overseer of this extravagant scene.
For security reasons, he does not openly publicize where AutoVault - his automotive kingdom - is located, but Section member Shapiro, with his shoulder-length blond hair and gold sunglasses, is the driving force behind what he calls "Canada's first car condo," a 40,000-square-foot storage garage for infrequently driven (but constantly babied) luxury rides.
Gary will personally host the event and we are looking forward to seeing his facility.
