Regrettably we have to inform you that we will not be able to hold our planned 2014 Legends of the Autobahn Concours and Driving Event.

I want to thank you our section members, the CHGP organizers and VARAC for the support of our 2013 Legends of the Autobahn Concours and Driving Event. With close to 100 BMW, Mercedes and Porsche on display over the two days, we had a great turnout for our inaugural event. We got lots of positive feedback and were eager to repeat the event for the 2014.

Unfortunately, the BMW Car Club of America took objection to us using the name 'Legends of the Autobahn' in Canada. Though they have no registered trademark in Canada and despite the fact that the American BMW Club dis not show any interest in running these events in Canada. They even initiate legal action against myself. The Canadian event was a cooperation and coordination of the local MBCA Toronto Section, the Canadian BMW Car Club Trillium Chapter together with the PCA UCR Upper Canada Porsche Club which all supported and participated in the organization team.

As this legal struggle takes much resources, attention and manpower from our club activities we were unfortunately unable to properly plan and prepare for the 2014 in conjunction with the CHGP June 14^th regardless of our best efforts. We even contemplated an alternative temporary name.

We will be happy to return when our legal dispute with the American BMW club is settled amicably and we can devote more of our club efforts in running events for our members rather than fight unnecessary legal battles.
