Remember the "Running of the Bulls" event we spotlighted in our last issue? This past weekend, we celebrated the 10th annual Running of the Bulls and it was as successful (and fun!) as ever, serving as a reminder of why this city is so special.


Summertime here in the Big Easy is in full force but we are already getting excited for students to return to campus. We hope you are too! As you prepare for your arrival in about six weeks, we encourage you to pay special attention to several upcoming deadlines highlighted in this issue. 


If you haven't perused your New Student Orientation Guidebook recently, we encourage you to take it out and begin thumbing through the Resources section (pages 27-52.) The Dates and Deadlines chart on page 27 is an extremely helpful tool as you map out the rest of your summer. Wondering what you have left to complete before school begins? Review the Summer Checklist and start checking off those boxes. Misplaced your copy? We've uploaded an online version for your convenience. Our checklist has also been updated so make sure to reference that as well.

Upcoming Deadline: Campus Health
New students, take note! All incoming students are required to complete a series of online health promotion courses by August 22. Campus Health will send an email with more instructions on July 20, so be sure to check your email for details. Click here for more information and to access the training. Fall Welcome Highlight: 
Student Activities Expo


The Student Activities Expo on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 5-7PM on the LBC Quad is a terrific way to learn about what student organization and involvement opportunities are available. The leaders of more than 150 organizations gather during the Expo to tell new students about what they do and invite new members to join their groups. Stop by to grab some free swag and sign up!
Manage Accounts Receivable: 

Your Accounts Receivable is where your tuition and fees are billed to each month. You can also charge to this account at limited locations around campus. This account is in your name and sent to you at the end of every month. You'll need your Tulane ID and password to log in.


The first bill will be available for viewing on July 29, 2016. In order for another person to view and manage your accounts receivable, log on to Gibson Online and look for the "Student Account" box on the top right. Click "View Online Account" and a new site will appear. This is where you will manage your accounts receivable. To add another user to your account, click "My Account" then "Authorized Users" and fill out the information.
Sign up for the Riverboat Cruise
Don't forget to sign up for the Riverboat Cruise on Friday, September 2 (featuring music, New Orleans food, dancing, and fun!) The $60.00 registration fee includes transportation, dinner and the cruise. Register online at riptide.me/Sg Hurry! Space is limited and the cruise is already 80% full!
Technology Connect
TechConnect is the Tulane University owned and operated store that assists students with their computer needs. Their recommendations for students at Tulane will be published on their online order system, going live later this week. Check it out here!
