The biggest decision I've made with lupus: a personal look at pregnancy and lupus
Lupus and pregnancy. By all accounts, there isn't much information available on the combined subject, but it's a common topic among young adults with lupus. Spurred by the lack of information, one young adult is tackling it herself and is sharing her journey with us here at the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM).
  
Kristie Bauer, a long-time LFM supporter, Walk/5K attendee and the founder of the Leaf for Lupus event fundraiser, kicks off her blog series this week, her 19th week into pregnancy. Lupus Foundation of Minnesota participating in fifth annual Give to the Max Day on November 14
The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM) is one of the many nonprofit organizations throughout the state that will once again ask Minnesotans to display their record-breaking generosity by donating to their favorite causes online at GiveMN.org during the fifth annual "Give to the Max Day" on Thursday, November 14.
  
Beginning on Friday, November 1, donors may "schedule" their donation and the gift will be automatically deducted from their credit or debit card at midnight on Give to the Max Day.

Continuing a core facet of its mission, LFM's clinical research grants have provided over 2 million dollars to lupus research efforts
Lupus research grant application deadline draws near
The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM) is accepting applications for 2014 clinical research projects aimed at advancing studies into the cause, treatment and a cure for lupus. The application deadline is 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4.

A limited number of research grants are available. Awards are generally in the $20,000 to $35,000 range. More details and complete applications are available on the LFM website.

Saying "Adios" to an LFM veteran
After more than eight years at the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM), Outreach Coordinator Gustavo "Gus" Taberna is leaving us. Join the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM) in saying goodbye at an Open House on Friday, November 15 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. at the LFM offices in Bloomington.
