Hit For Lupus
Bringing lupus awareness to the UWRF softball field
On Sunday, April 28, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls hosted their annual "Hit for Lupus" softball game. The Lady Falcons dedicated their game versus UW - Superior to raising funds for LFM and raising lupus awareness. The team donned black and purple shirts for pre-game practice and purple headbands and socks for the game itself. The game announcer read lupus facts between innings, fans pledged money for each hit, and LFM Ambassador Chris Cronick (pictured center in purple) had the honor of throwing out the first pitch.

Take back control with LFM-hosted holistic health workshops
Sometimes lupus can take over -- physically, mentally and emotionally. Some overwhelming outside factors may include seeing specialists, prescription side effects, medical tests and procedures.  All of this can leave a person feeling like their life no longer belongs to them.

Take back control with a complete mind-body-spirit experience. Join LFM throughout the summer and fall for a series of unique and exciting interactive workshops that will focus on a variety of holistic health approaches.

2013 Sludgeathon shatters record
Cory Cove, KFAN 100.3 FM, raised over $45,000 for LFM during his 24-Hour On-Air Marathon, a.k.a. The Sludgeathon, April 20-21.

Before taking to the air, with the help of an online auction and corporate sponsors, the show had already reached $17,000, just $3,000 short of the previous year's record of $20,000. As auction bidding continued and phones opened up for donations from listeners, the show amassed more than double the previous totals.

Thanks to Cory, KFAN, Clear Channel Radio staff and personalities, and all the generous bidders and donors for this record-shattering fundraising total. Make sure to say thanks to Cory at upcoming LFM events, such as the Lupus Walk for Hope and 5K Run.
