Parents and Supporters Celebrate Early Childhood Education

Armed with cameras and recording devices, parents and supporters of children enrolled in early childhood education programs were on hand to see their children perform during the Early Childhood Education Rally Day hosted at the Stoneham church in Massachusetts. The Atlantic Union Conference Office of Education sponsored the rally on November 7, to celebrate early childhood education in the New England area.

Five schools from the Northeastern and Southern New England conferences were represented at the afternoon program. This was the second rally of its kind held this year.

44 Churches Participate in Compassion Boston Rally

The Waymark church in Dorchester, Massachusetts, hosted pastors, church leaders, and members from 44 churches in the Greater Boston area on November 7, for a Compassion Boston Rally--"the first joint rally for this initiative between the Northeastern and Southern New England conferences." By the end of the evening, 132 attendees had committed to volunteer in various capacities.

Compassion Boston Winter Warmth Campaign Begins

The 2016 Compassion Boston Winter Warmth Campaign was also announced. From now until November 28, select churches around the Boston area will be receiving donations of new hats, gloves/mittens, scarfs, and socks in all sizes. Volunteers are needed at designated packing sites on December 5 to place the collected items into individual bags.

Your Best Pathway to Health to Come to Boston Fall 2016

Plans are also underway for Your Best Pathway to Health to come to Boston in the fall of 2016. "Your Best Pathway to Health is a volunteer-based service that  provides free medical, dental and vision events in multi-purpose venues around the country and around the world. Care is provided on a first-come, first-served basis."

GNYC Adventist Community Services Celebrates 40 Years 
The Greater New York Conference (GNYC) Adventist Community Services Department celebrated its 40th anniversary and the dedication of its van ministry at the Old Westbury church in New York. Sung Kwon, director of Adventist Community Services in North America, was the guest speaker.

Branded as "Wellness on the go," the van is expected to provide New Yorkers with preventative care, massage therapy, blood pressure screening, and more.
