On July 2, the 60th Session of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists will begin in San Antonio, Texas, and continue through July 11. Please continue to pray for the these meetings and those traveling to attend the session including the 21 delegates who will represent the Atlantic Union Conference:

Seventh-day Adventist Representatives Appointed to NYC Clergy Advisory Council
On June 7, New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, announced the creation of the Mayor's Clergy Advisory Council. Comprised of local faith leaders from across the five boroughs to open a direct line of communication between religious leaders and City Hall, this initiative will formalize and expand City Hall's relationship with religious communities across the city.
Rohann Wellington, assistant to the president for strategic planning and communication director for the Greater New York Conference (GNYC), as well as James Richmond, GNYC community liaison, were appointed to the Council to represent the Seventh-day Adventist church.

As members of the Mayor's council, they will be able to bring the priorities and concerns of New York's congregants, including Greater New York Conference, to City Hall as well as share information on beneficial city programs and services within their communities.
Wellington and Richmond will be deputized to hold local meetings on matters pertaining to city public safety issues, housing, and education, and help identify and organize additional members of the clergy.
