Urgent newsflash:  Keep it Wild!
Keep It Wild

Hidden in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania lies the Loyalsock State Forest, rich with verdant woodlands, crystalline streams and unique wetlands - a home to many sensitive plant and animal communities, some of which are already endangered. The breath-taking vistas and outstanding hiking trails make these wooded acres a respite for people and wildlife.

Sadly, the Loyalsock State Forest is also a wilderness under siege. Some of the forest has already been leased for shale gas extraction via hydraulic fracturing. Still wild, but at risk of large-scale gas development, is the largest remaining tract of unbroken forest in Lycoming County, a particularly fragile 25,000 acres known as the Clarence Moore lands. Home to cascading Rock Run and the beloved Old Loggers Path, this region was named by Backpacker Magazine as one of the finest backpacking trails in the entire United States

Governor Wolf previously indicated his willingness to explore legal options available to prevent drilling in this pristine forest. Now you can help protect this Pennsylvania treasure by signing this petition to Governor Wolf. We will deliver your signature along with the many others who say, "No drilling in the Clarence Moore lands!"

The forest and its wild inhabitants need your help. In addition to signing the petition yourself, please share this message with your friends and family as well as your social network contacts and organizations.

The deadline for signatures is September 14th. Please don't delay. Be a part of this urgent Save the Loyalsock Coalition campaign and Keep It Wild!

Thank you.
