At our March meeting in Colchester, we had a great discussion with Representative Linda Orange and Tom Swan, Director Connecticut Citizens Action Group about the National Popular Vote. The issue will be coming up for a vote in CT legislature this session. Thank you to Linda and Tom for clarifying this issue!
 
Just last week, at our April meeting in East Hartford we showed the documentary "Equal Rights Amendment: Unfinished Constitutional Business". We then passed a resolution to ratify the ERA and forward the resolution to the NFDW Convention in May for the National to take action.

Our May workshop is a program not to miss! And there is much going on around the state in April and May. See all the activities below ~

The Fannie Dixon Welch Scholarship will be given to an outstanding Democratic woman UCONN student. 
The Susan B Anthony Award will be awarded to a deserving member of the CFDW.
