#GivingTuesday at Southwestern
Celebrating the 'Spirit of Giving'

Southwestern Law School was one of more than 8,000 organizations who participated in #GivingTuesday, a national movement to increase awareness about charitable giving. It was our first year participating in the campaign and it was a huge success with over 100 donors and volunteers participating throughout the day. We called on alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends to give-back to Southwestern and greatly appreciate those who made their contributions. Social Media was also a major part of the campaign and thanks to some of our Social Ambassadors, #GivingTuesday was trending on Southwestern's online networks.  And to celebrate the holidays and the spirit of giving, we hosted a Tree Decorating Party and a Hoover Toy Drive Gift Wrapping Party, where volunteers helped wrap over 500 donated presents that will be given to the underprivileged children at Hoover Elementary School.
