the Southeast

The MicroWave Line Control System is the first rod component to be recognized industry wide with the "Best Fishing Accessory" award at ICAST 2103 and voted "Innovation of the Year" at EFTTEX 2013.

The American Tackle team and Pro Staff members divided and conquered the southeastern United States in search of large gamefish capable of putting their equipment to the test.  These anglers were equipped with all ATC gear including the Bushido blanks, MicroWave guides, Aero reel seats, and much, much more.  From Cape Canaveral to the Florida Keys and all the way to Louisiana, the team found worthy opponents.

Alex Heim cruised the flats in Mosquito lagoon on the East Coast of Florida in his fully loaded kayak.  He carried an arsenal of bushido rods with the Microwave guides.  He landed many redfish and sea trout with his favorite rod, the MB73/8-15.  Also managing to land several with his Matrix fly rods!

Captain Derwood Roberts of Melbourne, Florida, searched for giant tarpon of the coast of Cocoa beach.  They trolled live pilchards with Bushido SWB710/15-30 and the LS76/20-40.  The blanks were perfect for the task and subdued several big tarpon and many large sharks!

American Tackle's Largemouth Bass expert, Hunter McKamey, fished the St. Johns river and pulled out some stellar fish.  Hunter prefers flipping with his LS76/20-40 on the Kissimmee Chain but prefers his SJ68/8-15 on the St. Johns throwing unweighted worms along weed lines.  The SJ68/8-15 matched up with the Microwaves gives him the ability to stay off the bank as far as possible and still hit those small pockets in the weed line.

Ben and Jenny Stein visited the Florida Keys in search of Permit on the flats.  They had a few shots but found the mother load of Redfish and called off the search for Permit.  The two anglers were equipped with CB78/8-15 and the CB72/8-15 and MicroWave guides. The Bushido blanks and MicroWave guides allowed for precision presentations for double digit numbers of Redfish!

JD Locke and American Tackle Pro Staff member Brad Parker in Mississippi caught a big Amberjack on a custom built Bushido Vertical Jigging blank (BVJ6650) with Virtus Lite Titan guides.  The fish weighed 55 lbs and put them in 4th place in the Carl Leggett tournament out of Biloxi, Mississippi.  The team also landed a 47 lb Cobia which put them in 4th place in the Cobia division as well!
