The Ultimate

Line Control System

This just in, Tackle Trade World's "Gear Guide 2013." This edition features the MicroWave Line Control System.  This article highlights the benefits of the Microwave system for anglers and Rod manufacturers.

This piece focuses on how the MicroWave system makes better fishing rods. It explains its place in the evolution of rod technology then points out additional benefits to fishing rods and anglers.

No point is more important than the huge marketing advantage this system can provide a rod brand. The article states, "In the day of new and improved, it is both NEW and IMPROVED," which is crucial to every successful rod brand's marketing.

One major benefit pointed out, is an overall weight reduction using the MicroWave guide set vs traditional guide trains.

Another major benefit includes balance.  Balance is extremely important to rod design, however, seldom considered in terms of guide choice. The MicroWave guide system's weight distribution instantly improves a rod's balance point to deliver reduced fatigue, comfort and better control during use.

Pro Staff Field Report:
Capt. Derwood Roberts
Testing the Bushido
LS76/20-40

American Tackle Pro Staff member Derwood Roberts joined Capt. Russell Sinclair and Andy Fish aboard the Reel Action in pursuit of large Amberjack.  They ventured 32 miles offshore out of Port Canaveral in search for the edge of the Gulf Stream.  The sea conditions were 3 to 4 ft with winds out of North at 15 to 20 knots.

The anglers were fishing in 270 feet when this large amberjack struck and ripped line from the spool.  Luckily, Derwood was equipped with his new Bushido Light Saltwater 7'6, 20-40lb custom rod he built for his own fishing endeavors.

The bushido sported the Solid Titanium Virtus RingLock guides, AT Deluxe Graphite spinning seat, AT EVA grips and gimbal, and a beautiful Abalone shell Butt wrap.  Derwood was able to put the screws to this fish and successfully land it while enjoying the battle.
