September 2012 marked the 12th consecutive year this group has participated in this 4-day adventure hosted by Sjybrygga Fiskecamp located on Vaeroy, an Island off the coast of Lofoten, Norway.
Last year's trip began the use of Bushido blank rods that Dan specifically designed for targeting "Sej" (Pollock/Coalfish), "Torsk" (Atlantic Cod) & "Kveite" (Atlantic Halibut). Dan's decades of custom rod building, rod design and global angling experience allows him to target designs for specific niches throughout the world. For this expedition he utilized 125 & 350gm 7 ½' Popping blanks for fishing 350 gm swimbaits in water up to 125' deep, kicking off a new trend in design and application. Also in use on this trip were Bushido vertical jigging versions all built with Virtus solid titanium guides.
Sami's Sej & Magnus's Torsk
Despite tough weather, the boys made it out for some outstanding fishing putting the Bushidos to task against some notable catches.
