While Colorado Republicans are making headlines for the Senate primary debacle, Colorado Dems are already looking ahead to the general. There are plenty of opportunities for folks who want to get involved right now.


The Colorado Democratic Party is currently hiring field organizers to for the presidential, senate, and congressional races (see announcement below), and the Larimer Dems are looking for volunteers to help our state and local candidates. Please email volunteers@larimerdems.org if you are interested in helping out.

Gov. Hickenlooper Signs Arndt's Water Conservation Bill
On May 18th at the CSU Trial Gardens, Gov. John Hickenlooper signed Rep. Jeni Arndt's bill making an important conservation-oriented change in Colorado water law.



Previously, owners of water rights in Colorado were bound by a use-it-or-lose-it rule, meaning they often used more water than they needed in a given year simply to avoid having their water right permanently reduced. 



"Water is too precious to waste. This new law will have a significant positive impact on water conservation in our state," said Rep. Arndt.
