Message from the Chair

Greetings!

We couldn't be more excited to host the Colorado Democratic Party State Convention and Assembly this Saturday in Loveland.

Colorado is a crucial state nationally in 2016, and control of the U.S. Senate and the presidency will likely hinge on our efforts to turn out voters across the state for Democrats.

The future of our Colorado General Assembly is at stake, too, and we have great candidates for all state senate and state house races on the ticket.

So we need you to get involved: contribute to our candidates, sign up to knock on doors, write letters to the editor-anything you can do to help. Now is the time to make our voices heard. Please contact me at chair@larimerdems.org if you want to get involved.

Thank you for supporting the Larimer Dems!

Help on the Protection of Endangered Animals Bill
Are you a teacher or student? Do you want to get involved in a project and learn more about the legislative process? If so, then WE NEED YOUR HELP. Representative Ginal is sponsoring HB16-1341, which would prohibit the sale of products made from elephants, rhinos, tigers, lions, leopards, cheetahs, pangolins, marine turtles, sharks, and rays within Colorado. Every year, as many as 100 million animals are killed by poachers. Many species face extinction due to the demand for their parts. Federal regulations prohibit the importation or interstate trade of products from endangered species, but they do not regulate intrastate sales. This bill will protect endangered species, but we need your help to pass it. Please pass this information along to any teachers or students that you know, and contact joannginal52@gmail.com to learn more about how to help.
