Message from the Chair

Greetings!

Last night was an amazing night for Larimer County! It was a victory for students and teachers in Thompson and Poudre school districts, and for good governance in the City of Loveland.

In Thompson, citizens voted decisively to support candidates who support a strong public education system, and to move away from the divisiveness and bad-faith tactics that led to court battles and low workplace morale.

In Poudre, there was a resounding reaffirmation of the hard work of our school board incumbents, and a decision to elect new, dedicated school board members who will provide their own perspectives as we continue that progress.

In Loveland, there were some mixed results, but it is reassuring to see that city council will continue to move forward and improve the quality of life for residents. Thank you to Ralph Trenary for your service to Loveland and Larimer County.

While the Larimer County Democratic Party didn't officially endorse candidates, many of you gave countless hours of your volunteer time to various campaigns. Without your help, candidates cannot tackle the sometimes extreme challenges they face, so thanks to everyone for all your efforts!

                                               -- James Thompson, Chair
