Message from the Chair
Greetings!

It's hard to believe that in the summer before 2016, we've already witnessed the first presidential debate. Personally, I think this Republican debate was good for Democrats, in that it shows the stark contrast between Trump's platform of intolerance and racial, gender, and economic inequality, and our party of progressive values, fairness, and inclusiveness.

But it won't be long before Trump no longer leads in the polls, and a candidate who may pose a serious threat in the general election begins to emerge as the frontrunner. So while we can sit back on the couch and enjoy the circular firing squad for now, don't forget that we need you to continue to support our efforts to organize Democrats locally, because that's where races are won, from the top of the ticket to the bottom.

And like in 2008 and 2012, Colorado will be a big deal in 2016. We've already seen Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton hold rallies here, and it's good to know that Colorado could be the state that makes all the difference next year, whether it's deciding the presidential race or deciding who will control the U.S. Senate, with Senator Bennet being the top target of Republicans.

So stay informed, stay involved, and stay tuned for an exciting year!

Thank you for supporting the Larimer Dems!
