Message from the Chair

This weekend starts with another community conversation with Senator John Kefalas. Our legislators are still doing committee work and other homework well after the end of the session and this is your chance to hear what Senator Kefalas has been working on. Please see the details below.

And Sunday is the long awaited opening for our local office of the Coordinated Campaign. This office will serve as headquarters for the voter outreach necessary to re-elect Senator Mark Udall and Representative Jared Polis here in Larimer County and throughout Colorado. We're pleased to be served by such a great bunch of organizers and look forward to working alongside them this year. Show up and show your support. Details below.

Please vote your primary and Loveland ballot while you still have another day to put it in the mail. These ballots are due by 7 pm on Tuesday, June 24th. You probably ought to deliver your ballot (two different places!) if you wait any longer.

--William Russell

"Today's executive order is an important step in ending workplace discrimination against LGBT employees. I commend the President for his strong leadership.  This action has sent a message to not only federal contractors, but employers everywhere that our nation is one where every man and woman deserves the right to be judged by the quality of their work, not who they are or who they love."

--Representative Jared Polis

Primary Election Day & Loveland Special Election Day

Primary Election Day is June 24, and Loveland's Special Municipal Election is June 24. Ballots were mailed last week to registered voters.

There are no contested Democratic races in the Primary Election. Loveland is holding a Special Election to consider a Citizen Initiated Petition enacting a two year moratorium on hydraulic fracturing.

Every registered Democrat in Larimer County has been mailed a Democratic Primary Election ballot.

Registered voters in Loveland have been mailed two ballots: one for the Primary Election and one for the Special Municipal Election.

The County Clerk and Recorder is responsible for administering the Primary Election. The Loveland City Clerk is responsible for administering Loveland's Special Municipal Election.

Your ballots must be received by the correct Clerk by 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 24.

Primary Election ballots must be received by the County Clerk. The county is using a white envelope for returning ballots.

Loveland Special Election ballots must be received by the Loveland City Clerk. Loveland is using a blue envelope for returning ballots.

You can mail your ballots. Use the correct postage!

To find a drop off location for your Primary ballot (white envelope), visit http://www.larimer.org/elections/vote_centers.cfm

Loveland Special Election ballots (blue envelope) can be dropped off at the City Clerk's Office, 500 E. Third Street, Ste. 230. (Previously known as the Washington School Building, second floor)

For more information on the Loveland Special Election, visit http://www.cityofloveland.org/index.aspx?page=104
