Message from the Chair

Please join Larimer County's Democratic legislators this Saturday at the Fort Collins downtown public library for their forum on our local disaster relief efforts. To deal with the damage of recent fires and floods, and prepare for the future, Senator Kefalas, Representatives Fischer and Ginal, are hosting this meeting with some of Larimer's disaster response experts to answer questions and solicit input. See the details below to help our representatives and responders in their work to make Larimer County safer and more able to recover quickly.

Our friends in Jeffco need our help! Sen. Evie Hudak is facing a recall. Join our friends in Jeffco to stop the recall and help preserve our Democratic majority in the State Senate. See details below.

"We in this country, in this generation, are, by destiny rather than choice, the watchmen on the walls of world freedom. We ask, therefore, that we may be worthy of our power and responsibility, that we may exercise our strength with wisdom and restraint, and that we may achieve in our time and for all time the ancient vision of 'peace on earth, goodwill toward men.' That must always be our goal, and the righteousness of our cause must always underlie our strength. For as it was written long ago, 'except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.' evieSaturday, November 23 & Sunday, November 24:
Stand with Evie!
The recall effort to unseat Senator Evie Hudak is approaching its final weeks. The efforts of the decline-to-sign campaign have been effective in slowing the pace of signatures, but we really need to pull out all the stops this weekend. Can you help out?
The main focus of the field campaign is to put Evie supporters on the ground at the locations where signatures are happening - on street corners, in retail parking lots, and in the precincts. Volunteers are waving signs and showing support for Evie in these locations, and they're holding petition circulators accountable to the truth and to the law. We need to cover as many locations as possible this weekend to make sure voters know that there's another side to the story before they decide to sign.
Volunteers shifts are from 10:00 am-1:00 pm and from 1:00pm-4:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Turnout is generally good on Saturday mornings, but we always need more volunteers for the other three shifts.
Volunteers will meet at the Stand With Evie office at 6530 Wadsworth Blvd #240 in Arvada (east side, just south of McDonalds & the Arvada Car Wash).
If you can help, please RSVP to Madison Cassels at madison@standwithevie.com or (720) 536-5922. Or RSVP on Facebook.
