Message from the Chair

Yesterday, Senator Morgan Carroll was selected to serve as President of the Colorado State Senate by unanimous vote. The Senator from SD 29 (Aurora), President Carroll is the second woman to serve in this position (Joan Fitzgerald, 2007). She is a popular and inspirational leader here as well; I hope you had a chance to meet Senator Carroll when she visited the Larimer County Democrats to support our candidates and county organization in the past. I hope you'll take a moment today to congratulate President Carroll and wish her well. You can write her at: [email protected]

Our favorite Colorado State Senator, John Kefalas, was named to the flood Disaster Study Committee yesterday. There's much to be done with a loss of at least 1,882 homes, damage to another 16,000 and over 200 miles of roads affected by the floods of 2013. It's good for Larimer County and other disaster areas that Senator Kefalas is taking a leadership role here. Please click here to see the Senator's Soapbox today,

Or you can stop by and speak with Senator Kefalas in person on Saturday, October 19th, at one of his regular community conversations, please see the details below.

--William Russell

"Coloradans are known for pulling together when times get tough, and I have full confidence in our ability to heal, repair and rebuild. This is community."

--Senator John Kefalas
