Message from the Chair
Editor's note: Two additional Community Events have been added.
We canceled the 2013 picnic last week because of the 2013 floods and we won't be rescheduling it. We did pick up the mums from Fort Collins Nursery before the river rose and are hosting a smaller event. Please stop by Dian's front porch this Saturday for this traditional burst of color. Enjoy a traditional picnic beverage, if not the traditional picnic. 4:30 to 6:30, Saturday, September 21st, please see the details below.
On September 28th, a few of Larimer County's finest Democrats will be hosting a reception for Joe Neguse, in support of his 2014 campaign for Colorado Secretary of State. This would be an excellent opportunity to learn about Joe's plans to halt voter suppression in Colorado and bring transparency back to our elections. The details are posted below.
--William Russell
"In so many ways, the history of our part of the nation, the West, has been a story of water, but now that very resource ... is writing a new chapter in our history as it runs uncontrolled over every road, field and structure in its path. That's why I'm gonna fight in this Congress for full federal support of the recovery and rebuilding effort. I am confident that this support will be there, just as it was for so many others in their time of need."
--Senator Mark Udall
