Message from the Chair
Our fundraiser last Saturday went wall to wall with a packed house and was a great success. Many thanks to our special guest, Senator Mark Udall, and our Barackfast host, Dan Shaner. Senator Udall engaged the crowd and answered questions in that up close and personal tradition of Barackfast. Thanks to all our supporters and the volunteers that helped put this special event together.
The Larimer County Democrats are continuing to work on that sustainable base of support that will be so pivotal to our campaigns of 2014. The best way to maintain our momentum is to join our Century Club monthly donation program. Recurring monthly donations of $10, $20, $30 will make a profound difference, but all contributions are potent political advances and help nurture our steady progress. Our Century Club effort is being lead by Caitlyn Karbula, please answer the calls or be proactive by writing her at ExecutiveDirector@LarimerDems.org.
In their never ending effort to provide Larimer County and Colorado with great legislative leadership, Senator John Kefalas, Representative Randy Fischer and Representative Joann Ginal will be hosting a Community Issue Forum this Saturday on Childcare. Please see the details below and join this critical conversation.
--William Russell
"SB-252 is further evidence of our state's commitment to growing the new energy economy. Investments in renewable electricity generation projects and manufacturing facilities resulting from this bill will create jobs for nearly 10,000 Coloradans according to the Interwest Energy Alliance. Many more jobs in the wider economy will be created to support the renewable energy boom."
--Representative Randy Fischer
