Message from the Chair
I hope you'll notice the first item the newsletter this week. The Colorado Democratic Party's Youth Initiative is expanding into Northern Colorado, and they are meeting next Tuesday evening. We made some great advances in our outreach during the last cycle and we are looking for the next generation of organizers and candidates. Passing the word and supporting this group will help.
Please join Senator Kefalas, Representative Fischer and Representative Ginal for their latest Community Town Hall this Saturday morning. Our legislators will be delivering an update the current session and answering your questions. See the details below.
I want to thank all the people that produced, attended and contributed to our 2013 Annual Dinner and Silent Auction again. Our new treasurer, Patsy Morris, has most of her job done already and is pleased to announce that the Silent Auction this year was the best ever. The volunteers that put together the auction were spectacular, again. That really worked out pretty well.
November 5, 2014 seems like a long time from now, but I'm hoping to write the same sentence on that day too.
--William Russell
"We live in an age when to be young and to be indifferent can be no longer synonymous. We must prepare for the coming hour. The claims of the Future are represented by suffering millions; and the Youth of a Nation are the trustees of Posterity."
--Benjamin Disraeli
