Message from the Chair
Today Is Election Day! (For those of you who have not signed up for, and already voted, your mail in ballot) Vote Centers are open around Larimer County this morning and everybody can vote. Mail in Ballot voters can deliver their ballots to the Vote Centers. Everybody can experience the wonders of Democracy. Everybody wins.
Vote now, it's the best thing you can do for yourself, your family, and your Larimer County Democratic Get Out the Vote team. Because, after you vote, you can come down here and help your fellow Democrats talk a few more working families into standing up for themselves. (And you are taken off the call lists.)
We are hosting the final Debate Watch Party with Avogadro's Number tonight. Come see the President seal the deal on the big screen with 4 (more years) dollar specials. We will be able to place anybody who wants to help elect Democratic candidates in 2012 with the volunteer activity that suits their skills (or tight schedule) for these final crucial hours of 2012. And we want everybody to contribute what they can, when they can. Knock doors, make calls, talk to your neighbor. It's all good and you don't want to ever wonder if you could have changed your own future by stepping up in 2012.

Volunteer with the Polis Campaign on Monday evenings in Loveland and Wedesday evenings in Fort Collins. Wednesday, October 24 ACLU Discussion on the High Rate of Imprisonment
The Northern Colorado Chapter of ACLU of Colorado is sponsoring a talk and discussion on the high rate of imprisonment in U.S. and in Colorado and the policies which have contributed to this escalation.
The speaker is Christie Donner, executive director and founder of Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition, who has 15 years of experience in criminal justice reform advocacy. Her talk will also ask whether private prisons are an answer and discuss other less costly, more effective and humane alternatives to prison.
