Made in Germany
With the intention to promote Modern 5.5's in Germany and at the same time opening routes to new designs, a project is underway to have a new boat built next autumn and to finalize the building during the next hanseboot boatshow in Hamburg, handing it over to the owner on the last day of the show.
Contacts have been made to several designers and various companies, being now partners in the project.
The boatyard, Niendorfer Bootsbauerei, is located at the shores of Lübeck Bay, the rudder and ballast will be done by RCS of Kiel, the rigg will be a Fiberwork design from Berlin. The boat will be a 4-layer mahogany, clear varnished beauty.
Now, the search is on, to invite interested sailors to make a pitch to choose the design and to order this new boat, which will carry a very special "boatshow-pricetag". A first conversation with an interested sailor will be held next week in Hamburg.
The project team is looking forward to your e-mails and shall with pleasure answer the questions of those, seriously interested in buying the new boat.
I wish all involved perfect results!
Yours,
Kaspar
