119th Diocesan Convention Rescheduled
Dear Lay and Clergy Deputies of the Diocese of Lexington,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Having consulted with the clergy in charge of parishes, we are happy to announce that we will gather for the 119th Convention of the Diocese of Lexington at St. Michael's Church, Lexington on Saturday, March 28 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (at the latest). Lunch will be provided. More details will be coming soon about follow-up registration, lunch choices, confirming which of your parish's deputies are able to attend, and other information regarding this rescheduled convention.

We're looking for Cool Kids to be Counselors at Reading Camp! Come make a difference in the life of a camper for a week while enjoying free food and awesome activities! We have two camps: Lexington at the Mission House and Irvine at the Cathedral Domain. The dates are June 15-27. St. Matthew's Episcopal Church hiring for Director of Ministry

Position Summary:

The Director of Ministry is a lay professional who oversees educational and small group ministries at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of St. Matthew's educational programs spanning the 10 decades of life.

  • Oversee, train, and support lay ministry leaders for small group ministries.

  • Supervise and train staff affiliated with the Ministry department.

  • Provide pastoral care to families with children, and lay ministry leaders.

  • Oversee the Sunday liturgies for children, and work with the Children's committee to provide excellent children's ministry offerings.

  • Coordinate the Dimensions of Faith program.

  • Serve on the Community Preschool board.

St. George's Day, April 18

Attention Silent Auction Donations
The Silent Auction held annually at General Convention to benefit Diocesan Youth Scholarships will be held at St. George's Day at the Cathedral Donain April 18th.  Please bring your parish basket or other donation to the Great Hall when you arrive at the Domain.  If you are not able to attend St. George's Day please bring your basket or other donation to Cindy Sigmon at Mission House the week prior to the 18th.
