Last Call for Registration for Leadership Training |
Have you registered for Leadership Training, March 20-21 at St. Andrew's, Fort Thomas? Vestry members, wardens, committee chairs, folks who would like some new tools or reminders of skills they haven't used for awhile, folks who would like a review, and those who are always interested in meeting other leaders. And if you haven't particularly thought of yourself as a leader-come and find out about leaders with formal titles and assignments-and "informal leaders", who may not have an official title, but more leadership influence than they realize, at church, work or in their households! And perhaps most importantly in an increasingly uncivil culture and world, come and ground yourself in the practices that lead to modeling civil dialogue that can change human interactions wherever we are. All for just $25, payable to the Diocese of Lexington, memo Leadership Training, P.O. Box 610, Lexington, KY 40588 NO LATER THAN MONDAY, MARCH 16th. If you have notified the office of your plans to attend, please contact kcollierm@diolex.org TODAY and reserve your place! Sessions Friday 5:45- 9: Saturday 9 - 4. |
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Today, March 12, is the one year anniversary of Avery's health crisis in Philadelphia. Today we are filled with gratitude. In this one year she has healed and progressed remarkably. She is still in regular rehab at Cardinal Hill for multiple challenges, but is also able to take a course at the University of Kentucky - one that will bring her within 4 classes of finishing her degree. She is strong, motivated, and living a grateful life every day - as are Kaye and I.
We have been lifted and sustained by your prayers every step of this journey. Every week someone in the diocese asks me how she is doing and assure me of prayerful support.
On this year anniversary we are giving thanks for life, for healing, and for the community of the faithful, especially God's people in the Diocese of Lexington.
Christ's Peace,
Bishop Doug

Lent is a special time for reflection on the mystery of God's presence. We invite you to join us as we gather together for a morning of silence reflection and consent to the presence and action of God in our lives.
Please bring a snack to share.
For information contact Wayne Moore at 255-6368 or moorewayn@gmail.com.
God speaks: it is a mystery, i.e., it is the death of my senses and my reason, for it is the nature of mysteries to immolate them. A mystery is life to the heart through faith, but for the rest of our faculties, a contradiction ... the darker the mystery, the more light it contains. - Jean Pierre de Caussade
