Text worshipcpc to 99000

As technology evolved, pastors and ministry workers noticed a love affair happening between owners and their cell phones!  Cell phones are always with us, we are always checking them for calendar dates, messages, Facebook updates, twitter and yes, even phone calls!

Utilizing relatively new technology we have instituted a new system that allows us to connect with you where you love to connect...via cell phone.

When you text "worshipcpc" to 99000 it will send a text back to you telling you to text back your name. After you text in your name it then prompts you to text your email address. Simple!

St. Matthew plans to use that email address sparingly, in case of emergency, if we have a last minute change in plans or to tell you about a CHURCH WIDE event.

More importantly, you will be able to use this new service to sign up for classes, small groups, events and more via your cell phone

Who knows...Pastor Rick, may even want to have an "American Idol" type vote or get you to text in questions during a sermon!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The texts you send, are not premium texts...they cost the same as it would to text your BFF or your spouse!

Text "worshipcpc" to 99000 soon!

A Word from Pastor Rick:

Wow!  Praise be to God!  Your response to serve as "God Messengers" as we plan, prepare and host all of our Holy Week activities, climaxing with five exciting life changing Easter Worship Celebrations was tremendous!  Our cup runneth over with blessing.  I continue to be in awe of your commitment to the mission and extremely grateful to be one of your ministry partners.

Every weekend God is allowing us to witness life change among both the lost and the found. God's favor is obviously upon us so I thank God for his blessing but I thank you for your commitment to the mission.

In the past few weeks you have heard a little about the session's prayer led decision to instigate a process that would lead to us embracing a new name.  A rebranding team was created last fall for the purpose of helping us develop and work through a process that would allow us to seek and discern God's revelation for the name.   Understandably, there are many questions and emotions surrounding such a bold decision.  Please allow me to answer a few of those questions as we continue to process, dialogue and together seek God's revelation. Journey to the Cross &
Good Friday Service

The Journey to the Cross is not an event as much as it is an experience! Take a walk through Christ's last human week on earth.  Starting with his exalted entry into Jerusalem and ending with an interactive hands on cross lift.

Place in your calendars: March 28th 5:30pm - 9pm
                                    March 29th 12-7pm & 8-10pm

Good Friday Service
Music, drama, antagonal readings, anticipation and soul searching all in one service starting at 7pm on March 29th.
This service, also called Tenebrae, or the Service of Darkness unfolds in the ARC. After each drama the darkness deepens signifying the despair and hopeless atmosphere surrounding the death of Jesus.

These are not-to-miss events, that will help enhance your Easter experience.

SMALL GROUP COMMUNION

Maundy Thursday, March 28, is the day Small Groups will participate in communion.

Many groups are making plans to meet at the church and experience the Journey to the Cross, then gather at their homes to share communion and a meal.

We hope your group will consider this. Knowing that Journey to the Cross will be open for a short time after the Good Friday Service and that the lines will be long, we encourage you to take this time to leisurely experience this event together.

"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."                                             Matthew 26:26
