New Jersey Technology & Engineering Educators Association
[2014 STEM Conference and Expo Call for Vendors and Exhibitors]
Greetings!

My name is Kelly Boehmer and I am the Executive Director of the New Jersey Technology and Engineering Education Association. The NJTEEA is a nonprofit organization whose vision is to support and improve teaching and learning in the fields of engineering and technology in schools throughout New Jersey. As our state moves towards the adoption of the national Common Core standards, it has become increasingly important that teachers in all content areas have a full understanding of how to best integrate technology and engineering into their content areas.

Through professional development, community outreach and continuing contact with New Jersey teachers, the New Jersey Technology and Engineering Education Association best prepares teachers to develop strong "STEM" students who are inspired by the study of math, science, technology and engineering and excel when faced when asked to apply 21st century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, learning through inquiry and collaborating with peers.

Because your company relies strongly on successful future engineers, scientists and mathematicians, I am reaching out to you to request support. As a part of our organization's nonprofit status, we do not charge to attend our workshops. For this reason, we are constantly looking for sponsorships of professional opportunities. Additionally, we host a state conference through which your company could participate in by becoming a sponsor, providing presenters or setting up a vendor booth.

Our conference is a fantastic opportunity to promote private industry in the areas of math, science, technology and engineering. We typically accommodate over 300 attendees and are hoping to increase our attendance significantly this year through continued outreach across the state, positive press and promotion, and by fostering relationships with school district administrators across the state. Our conference is attended by NJ teachers, administrators and education stake holders. Making the investment in our conference is a perfect way to show your support for education and technology while also advertising your company in affiliation with NJTEEA.

I sincerely hope that you strongly consider collaborating with our organization to assure that students who hold the promise of future STEM career professionals. Additionally, sponsoring our events provides opportunity for a wide range of positive promotion through press releases, providing materials to our members and promoting on site through the creation of a banner thanking you organization at each of our events.

I have included the exhibitor packet for this year's conference which will take place on May 16, 2014. It can be returned digitally to either kboehmer@njteea.org or njteea@njteea.org. I look forward to continuing this conversation with you in the next week. I can be best reached by email at kboehmer@njteea.org or by phone at 908 625 2711.
