FEATURED BLOG ARTICLE Happiness Matters
 I have struggled moving into 2013 as I have been dealing with an ill parent and the sudden death of a sibling. With my emotions flying all over the place, I had no idea what to write about this month. And then a Facebook post - and the beginning of a Netflix movie - ignited an idea (and a simple one, at that). Happiness. Over the years I have heard the yay's and nay's around the concept of happiness, and even I became persuaded to step away from advocating for happiness so loudly in exchange for fulfillment. But that's bullshit. I'm back now and I'm telling you with every ounce of my being that happiness is where it's at. Let's define happiness, though. Here is what it is not; it is not smiling and laughing all the time. Although if that's your thing, go for it. But true happiness is driven from the inside. As I work to provide organizational development solutions that clearly identify and actually meet my client's desired ROI, I am debuting a new methodology to transform cultures called C.L.i.P., Culture & Leadership in Practice. To that end, in future issues of this e-Zine I will be talking about cultural challenges and strategies in an effort to foster a more consistent conversation around culture, and it's influence on better productivity and bottom line results. And also to engage leaders, of companies, teams and families, in rethinking how they go about getting the results they desire.
