The holidays are fast approaching and many people start feeling anxious and tense. Nearly half of all people say they experience a much higher level of stress during November and December. But keeping calm and peaceful doesn't have to be complicated. Here are 10 easy ideas:
1. Brew some tea. The antioxidants help relieve stress.
2. Write in a journal. Writing things down helps organize your thoughts and release negative emotions.
3. Get outside. Fresh air clears your mind.
4. Listen to music. It is calming, healing and restorative.
5. Clean off your desk or office area. Messy areas distract us and add to our stress levels.
6. Get a massage. Even a 10 minute chair massage can significantly help you relax and reduce your stress.
7. Eat fresh and colorful food. Processed and/or packaged food makes you feel heavy and tired.
8. Set up a budget and stick to it. Overspending causes significant amounts of stress and tension.
