Peru has a mining project portfolio close to US$ 64 billion, and related to copper, gold and silver, affirmed Minster of Energy and Minis, Rosa Maria Ortiz. 
The Minister highlighted the Peruvian growth perspective in exploration and mining production is "relevant," especially in copper, since the projections to 2016 put Peru in the second position concerning "copper's world production."

Dollarization ratio of credit in Peru fell from 70% to 38.5% in the last 10 years amid economic agents' preference for domestic currency, informed the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCR).

"In January 2015, credit to the private sector showed a dollarization ratio of 38.5 percent, while liquidity showed a dollarization ratio of 33.5 percent," stated the issuing entity.

Peru's largest locally owned precious metals producer, Buenaventura, expects to secure a construction permit for its US$200mn Tambomayo gold-silver project faster than previously expected, as the government eases bureaucratic obstacles, CEO Roque Benavides said. 



The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), through the national program "Cocina, Peru" (Cook Peru) has delivered 533,600 kitchen kits to date.

H&M will open its first store in Peru this fall, in what will be the first of its line, H&M Home in South America.

The National Commission for the Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) delivered laptops, computers, printers and several technological equipment worth over US$ 100,000.
