Peru's President, Ollanta Humala, announced this morning Peru will provide US$6 million to the Green Climate Fund. The fund is a financial mechanism, which aims at supporting climate change mitigation and adaptation actions. The contribution was considered as "high priority", by the Peruvian Head of State. Mr. Humala warned Peru is already suffering the impacts posed by global warming.
