The expansion of Peru's main natural gas pipeline has been delayed by nearly a year because of threats posed by insurgents and is now set to wrap up in the first quarter of 2016, the pipeline operator said on Tuesday.

Fishing


Peru's production of fish oil and meal may plunge in coming months, potentially creating an "explosive" price situation, researcher Oil World said.

Peru's oceanographic institute Imarpe found low fish stocks during a summer survey, and has advised not opening a second fishing season before a new evaluation in late October or early November, Hamburg-based Oil World wrote in a weekly report.

A 34-year-old man who has been quarantined in Peru over concerns about carrying Ebola is unlikely to have the virus, health officials said Monday.

The Health Ministry said that the patient was admitted to the Daniel Alcides Carrion hospital in Callao, Lima's port city, according to RPP Noticias.

Members of the Peruvian Diplomatic Service and diplomatic corps accredited to the country came together to celebrate the opening of a pictorial, documentary exhibition held on the sideline of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Romania.

We've all been waiting with anticipation, and the day is finally here.  This morning, Vice's Munchies posted part one of the two-part episode of Being Frank, which was filmed in various restaurants and locations throughout Peru.  The Franks, famous for their New York-based Frankie's 457, and now for their culinary adventures filmed around the world, landed in Peru a few months back, and got a tour of the country's culinary highlights with noted chefs like Virgilio Mart�nez, Gast�n Acurio, and Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.  Needless to say, they saw the best the country has to offer.

Tourism




A promotional campaign in the Big Apple exposes Peruvian treasures.

Although titled "Peru, Empire of Hidden Treasures," the latest campaign for tourism is anything but hidden as it hangs above New York�s Time Square. 



The Jorge Ch�vez International Airport in Lima, Peru, is one of the first few airports in the region that has its carbon footprint verified in accordance with international standards.

Peru returned to winning ways with a scrappy 1-0 victory over Guatemala in an international in Lima on Wednesday.

Carlos Ascues' fine first-half effort was all Pablo Bengoechea's men needed to edge to victory at the Estadio Alejandro Villanueva.
