An ambitious programme to improve Peruvian farm profitability through bovine genetic improvement has been announced by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Higher incomes for family farmers are the aim of the programme, targeted at upland operations, via 1,000 million Peruvian Nuevo sol for investing 1,500 metres above sea level.

The Netherlands has signed a transfer agreement with the Peruvian Navy for the HNLMS Amsterdam, a logistics support ship that came into service with the Dutch Navy in the 1990s.
"This vessel, displacing over 17,000 tons, will become the largest logistic support ship in the navy, and its large transport capacity for food, clothing and medicine, thanks to its large refrigerators and storage spaces, will allow it to support different regions along the coast," the Peruvian Navy said.

 Peru is to acquire a further eight Mil Mi-17 'Hip' transport and assault helicopters to complement the 24 ordered in late 2013, regional media disclosed on 24 July. According to excavators, astronomical functions were engraved on rocks that have successfully stood the test of time. The said archaeological site dates back to 3,500 or 4,000 years ago, and it is worth exploring without a doubt.
