The work carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism to diversify the market is allowing Peruvian exporters to take new challenges to position their products in other markets, such as Morocco.

Since agriculture accounts only 15.1% of Morocco's GDP, this market, with which Peru has traded since before 1994, is a future destination for exports from Lambayeque.

The new report from the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, outlining the impact and risks of a warming planet, reminded me of one of the great tragedies to hit my own country, Peru.

On May 31, 1970, a huge magnitude-8 earthquake struck off the coast of Ancash about 100 kilometers north of Lima. In a matter of seconds, shockwaves dispersed across a wide area to the east of the quake's epicenter, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Environment

Poachers have killed 159 vicuas in Ayacucho to sell their wool on the black market.

The illegal hunters took advantage of the heavy rains and the lowered vigilance to kill the animals. The Pro Vicua protection and surveillance program that had been in place was suspended by the Regional Government of Ayacucho last year.

Tourism

Poison dart frogs, tarantulas, scorpions, toucans, macaws, sloths, monkeys, snakes, piranha, and caimans are just some of the many weird and wonderful creatures you can see in the Peruvian Amazon.

Gastronomy

Sometimes the simplest dishes are the best, and roasted vegetables provide pure, comforting flavor that's hard to beat. Here, we just used purple potatoes and purple onions as a base recipe, but you can also add cubed butternut squash, parsnips, or yellow potatoes for a more colorful mlange.
Music

At Julius, a folk music tavern known as a pena in Peru's capital of Lima, the audience listened somberly to "El Condor Pasa." The piece, which features a melancholy melody and the natural sounds of a zampona, a traditional Andean flute, was covered by American duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel in the 1970s and became a major international hit.
Sports

Peruvian champions Universitario had their Monumental stadium closed for 30 days on Monday after a teenager was shot dead amid clashes between rival groups of hardcore fans.

The youth died instantly after being shot in the chest on Sunday, a local district police spokesman told Reuters.

"We are investigating ... The accusations and accounts we have are that (the fighting) was over control of tickets," the spokesman for the Lima district of Ate said.

Miscellaneous

Two examples of how big brands rely on storytelling to find a way into their online community's hearts.

Storytelling, engagement, vitality. This is the path you need to follow. A good video-marketing campaign needs to focus on the narrative in order to be effective. The two campaigns we're going to look at today belong to brands that are very distant from each other, both geographically and from a business point of view, but that both move people's emotions through a story.
