 Peruvian exports to Chile amounted to US$ 1.67 billion in 2013, while imports from the southern neighbor reached $1.2 billion, the Chamber of Comerce of Lima (CCL) said on Tuesday.  Peruvian seafood exports generated US$ 267.9 million in revenue in December last year, representing 83.7 percent more than in the same month in 2012, when their value was US$ 145.8 million.

Exports of Peruvian grapes to China are set to reach 38,400 tonnes for the 2013/14 season, generating an income of US$95.2m, according to Miguel G�lvez Escobar of the Peruvian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (Capechi).

The Mario Vargas Llosa Chair announced Tuesday that Vasquez has been nominated for 'Las Reputaciones' (Alfaguara), while Bonilla and Chirbers were shortlisted for 'Prohibido entrar sin pantalones' (Seix Barral) and 'En la orilla' (Anagrama), respectively.
The winner will receive an award sculpture made by the acclaimed Peruvian plastic artist Fernando de Szyszlo and additional prize money of US$ 100,000. All three honorees will be recognized at a ceremony to be held at the Grand National Theater in Lima on March 27.
