Learn to play and accompany Jewish liturgical music at home, in the synagogue, or under a tree
Did you ever want to be able to play a drum at Shabbat? Whether it's "Shabbat Shalom," "Shalom Aleichem," or even "This Land is Your Land," everyone can learn to hold a beat, no matter what drum or percussion instrument you have or can borrow. Instructor Bruce Silverman will highlight traditional middle-eastern rhythms and simple all-purpose rhythms, perfect for prayer, singing, dancing, and playing along with other instruments. Some drums and percussion will be provided.
The commitment, excitement and musical growth in the first two sessions was palpable and so we are offering a third session. New students of all levels are welcome!
