Sharsheret Pink Shabbat Healing Service Friday, May 29th 7:00pm

Members, family and friends are invited to join us for an inspiring  Healing Shabbat Service at Beth Chaim,  including participation by cancer survivors and their families. __________________________________ One in 40 Ashkenazi Jews has a BRCA gene mutation that increases their risk of cancer. Because Ashkenazi Jews have higher rates of carrying a BCRA gene mutation, they are at a greater risk for breast and ovarian cancers. Sharsheret's Pink Shabbat program is designed to educate women and men about the increased risk of hereditary breast cancer and ovarian cancer among Jewish families, the impact of those cancers on the Jewish community, and Sharsheret's prgrams for  Jewish women and families of all backgrounds.
