Visit new Spokane EnviroStars Waste Directory

The Spokane River Forum has launched a new waste directory designed to help local residents and businesses make choices that protect the region's sole-source aquifer and improve the quality of the Spokane River. Conference participation very strong

 

Over 200 people are now signed up for one or both days of the conference. Said Cami Haveman, the brains behind conference logistics, "We're working closely with the hotel to make sure we have enough seats for everyone." With so many people coming, networking and information gathering opportunities abound.

 

Early next week the conference program with a full list of speakers will be placed on the conference web site.

 

Spokane County wastewater plant needs new PCB permit

A Superior Court Judge ruled that Spokane County's wastewater treatment plant will need a new permit that measures the amount of PCBs being put into the Spokane River. The Spokesman Review reports.
