Johnson Controls team braves elements in Upriver Scrub   

 

Famous track and field coach Bill Bowerman may have said it best: "There is no such thing as bad weather, just soft people." Last Saturday a team of smiling Johnson Controls employees proved Bowerman right as they hiked and rafted through wind and rain to collect garbage at the 11th annual Upriver Scrub. At the Upriver Scrub, volunteers gather to pick up trash and debris along seven miles of the Spokane River from State Line to below Barker Road. Read More

Barker Road Planting Volunteers needed for State Line Restoration

Sign-up now. Help plant over 800 native species in a 1.9 acre area to improve habitat for fish, enhance water quality and make for an aesthetically pleasing water trail access.

 

Date: October 18 and 19

Location: South side of State Line Bridge. Map.

Volunteer Times: Friday: 12 am - 4 pm, Saturday: 9 am - 12 am, 12 am - 4 pm
