                                                                  Autumn Term number 7
                                                                  30th October 2015

EYFS Autumn Walk

Reception and Preschool had a lovely time on their annual Autumn walk at The Gregg School.  We explored the woods, collected leaves, pine cones and sticks, and practised climbing on and jumping off tree stumps, as well as playing 'follow my leader' around the lavender bushes.   We didn't see any frogs in the pond but we did find several rabbit holes, and we saw lots of apples growing in the orchard.  We enjoyed delicious cakes and fruit in the school canteen before heading back to the minibus, chatting about our busy morning.  Thank you to all who helped us enjoy our adventure!
School Photographs

Reminder that individual school photograph orders need to be returned to the school office by
Tuesday 3rd November at the latest.

Please include the proof print with your order.

All cheques should be made payable to D.A.Vincent. Thank you.

Moving things on - Tuesday 3rd November at 4pm.

Please come along to have your say, vote for a new committee and help us make a difference in support of our school.

The new Winifriends needs your support for the benefit of the pupils.

Refreshments will be served in the school hall from 3.30pm onwards. We understand that you may need to have your children with you and we will make arrangements for them to be supervised for the duration of the meeting.

The agenda for the meeting will include the election of a new committee and formal adoption of a constitution.  We are proposing adopting the PTA UK model constitution, but are open to other suggestions.

We would also like to discuss whether the new committee should be a PTA or a PTFA.  "Friends" allows us to vote onto the committee anyone over the age of eighteen years who wishes to be involved, however there is also an argument that the committee should be steered by people actively involved in the school, either as a current member of staff, or a parent.

If you would like to be part of the committee please complete a nomination form (available in the school office) and return it into the ballot box in the school office by 10am on Monday 2nd November 2015.
