Prospective parents and pupils are welcome to come and see our school in action on Tuesday 6th October between 9.30am and 12 noon.

No appointments necessary.
PTFA

The PTFA AGM is being held on 6th October 2015 at 19.30 at The Gregg School.

The schools rely on PTFA support not only for fund-raising for those little and big extras that make a big difference, but also for help providing support and refreshments at events such as the Christmas Fair and Summer Fete.  It is fun and a great way of meeting other parents and becoming involved in your son / daughter's school life.

St.Winifred's and The Gregg School have historically had a joint PTFA, but this year we would like to propose a change to the structure of the sub committees, separating the two PTFA's. Both PTFA's have completely different needs due to the age groups of children we are trying to appeal to. Following the successful establishment of FROGS and Winifriends, it has been decided that now both sub PTFA's would benefit from becoming a PTFA in their own right.

Please find attached the agenda  for next week's meeting.  If the vote to separate the two committees goes through, the business for Winifriends members will finish after item 4, and  nomination forms will be sent out to parents and friends of Winifriends to put themselves forward to join, in advance of our next meeting on November 3rd, when the new committee will be elected.

Music demonstration on 9th October

Southampton Music Services (SMS) will be providing music lessons at St.Winifred's School after half term. They will be coming into school for an afternoon of music performance and demonstration, consisting of a concert followed by opportunities for the children to try out various instruments.

Parents are invited to come in at 3.30pm to speak to SMS and ask questions about the how the music service runs.
