Mr Rye 
Sadly Mr Rye has been unable to join us at the beginning of the term. He has been unwell for a while and begins his course of treatment for cancer this week.

 I am sure you will all join me in wishing him 'all the best'. He will be in our thoughts.
 Calendar change 

Please be aware that due to prior commitments at The Gregg School our Sports Day will be on the 3rd June 2015 NOT 10th June. The alternative date 17th June remains the same.

 Mr Papps 

Mr Papps will be joining the staff here at St Winifred's this term. He will be teaching ICT throughout the school as well as some Maths and English with Years 3 & 4.

English targets 
English targets willl be set in Homework Diaries on Friday for Forms 1 to 6. Parets are asked to sign these to acknowledge receipt.
Clubs and Music 

activity day lunch

Autumn Term Clubs:     

 

Pupils are asked to sign up for the staff clubs they wish to attend this term on the clubs notice board just inside the main hall. Some clubs have restricted numbers so pupils who are unlucky this term will be offered the chance to join in next term.

 

Parents wishing to enrol for clubs organised by outside teachers should contact the School office.    

 

MONDAY
Booster Maths Workshop for Form 6 from 3.30pm to 4.15pm

TUESDAY
Board Games 3.30pm to 4pm for Form 1 and Form 2

 

Nania Club 3.30pm to 4.15pm for Form 3 and Form 4

 

WEDNESDAY 

Subuteo Club 3.30pm to 4.14pm for Forms 3 to 6

 

THURSDAY
Art & Craft for Reception, Form 1 and Form 2 from 3.30pm to 4pm  

 

Cookery Club for Forms 5 & 6 from 3.30pm to 5pm. They are making scones this week and should bring 50g dried fruit or cheddar cheese, a tea towel and a tub to take them home in.  


FRIDAY
 

Choir for Forms 2 to 6 from 3.30pm to 4.15pm   

 

The following activities are available provided by teachers from outside the school:

  • Tennis on Tuesday lunchtimes starting on 23rd September
  • Street Jam on Wednesdays
  • Judo on Thursdays
  • Fencing on Thursdays
  • Music lessons on Fridays
  • Orchestra on Fridays

If you would like your child to take part in any of these activities please contact the School office so you can be put in contact with the teachers concerned.

House points totals for the week ending Friday 12th September

These totals are for the week, not cumulative and will start from next week
